Many of my illustrations are highly detailed representations of pets, loved ones, and the things surrounding me. Capturing something I love within art allows me to see details I hadn't noticed before and strengthens my appreciation and connection to it. My artwork is often a way for me to show appreciation to those around me, and many of these illustrations were created as gifts. I also enjoy making vibrant abstract paintings, and some of my current work involves creating pieces that incorporate realistic subjects on abstract backgrounds.

Squares of Summer (2023)
I created this piece for my summer project brief, which was based on the theme “collections.” I traced each square digitally from a photograph I took on my travels this summer and then used the outline as a guide to transfer my work to paper. Some of these images are from Wales, but many were captured during a road trip from Arizona to Michigan. This piece was influenced by the idea of capturing small moments during travels and transforming them into art.
